If Natsu was there (because I believe these are supposed to be similiar/same universes, yes?), I don't imagine Drakken or any of his 4 elements would stand a chance. Especially if it was blind raging Natsu. Everyone forgets, Natsu straight up killed like a 1,000 men (soldiers) from the Alvarez Empire, plus Acnologia, Jackal, and Animus

Fairy Tale actually started getting pretty dark starting from the Tartarus arc. People actually started to die from there on and the guild disbanded for a time. A lot of the arcs started to add up to mean something including Mavis' side arc which had a huge impact. Fairy Tale never has a truly happy ending either in the end. Example Lucy does not exactly get back Aquarius who was lost in order for her to summon the Spirit King though is told Aquaris is out there still that she may be able to meet again. Mauvis and Zeref get resolved which was a bittersweet on how they go out and Ultear essentially becomes extremely old to save everyone. I'd say until the Tartarus arc your left feeling like it's the power of friendship stuff asides Simon's death but with Tartarus on it's just like they threw despair into the mix and everything was no longer the same happy go lucky story.

On the contrary this episode is pretty dark but I wouldn't be surprised of a twist to happen. Alse Rebecca seems so special for some reason due to her Ethergear which doesn't seem so special yet that other characters wouldn't have a better ability. Lets assume we haven't seen it's full potential yet. On the regards they apparently needed Shiki for unlocking the cat. Something seems a bit off with Shiki being dead yet needing Shiki for something.

I remember getting back-to-back cliffhangers when this first came out. First one was if Weisz actually got his arm cut off. One week later we get Shiki getting shot in the head. 😂

Best episode so far from season 1 to 2 this is the only serious episode I've seen I'm hoping for more episodes like this

this ep was better than the whole fairy tail manga and anime LOL so much depth and courage to actually kill a MC... for those who dont know Rebecca will rewind time with her Leaper Ether and they'll defeat drakken later

not, but having a certain level of tension and seriousness that give some importance to the conflic, its not like fairy tail where makarov was announced dead more than five times and ended up alive in the end of the story anyway, the whole thing about the Fairy Law spell reducing your lifespan and makarov would die if he used it because he was an elder was thrown in the garbage because he uses fairy law multiples times and always comes back alive, reducing the danger and tension to zero, after the tenrou arc I started watching fairy tail knowing that no one would die and that friendship power would win them every fight, how boring is that? in Edens Zero the death of some characters are important because it values Rebecca's secret power to travel in time...

Then again, we know Rebecca's power so we know it's not 'permanent'

Currently in the anime they are at universe 3, the only universe where they can defeat drakken, in the manga they were at universe 400 or something and currently they jumped to universe 0 to save every timeline...
